If Hungary wasn’t so far west geographically I’d propose an exchange: We let Russia have Hungary in return for Ukrainian EU/NATO membership. Unfortunately Hungary is on the wrong side of Ukraine :(

I don’t think Putin has needed to do a lot of election fraud. He rules over the media, and has outlawed any serious opposition. I think of it more as an opinion poll than an election. For Putin I think unpopularity is a threat to regime stability, so he probably takes it seriously.
American weapon aid has already ceased. It’s truly dire on the front. What could get worse is if American intelligence aid also stopped. As hard as it is for Europe to replace America’s supply of 155mm, replacing US intelligence is going to be even harder. That is to say, it would be absolutely impossible.
Hopefully will not be the case. Depends on whether buy-in from Heroic, Bottles, and Lutris maintainers have been secured
Yup. This is an important point. Diplomacy as a stalling tactic is a very old playbook.
Good thing Ireland is so good at building new mass housing. Super cheap to live there, I hear.
The concepts don’t translate neatly. Generally I don’t think most Europeans have different words for condominiums and apartments. And in my experience detached homes rarely belong to HOAs.
HOA would be the American term.
Kevlar only stops 9mm and similar, anyway.
That’s just a consequence of classic Russian corruption. That’s not the system working as designed 😄
Gosh darnit, people. You’re all thinking of this as civilian tech. Just as we all know every military needs a satellite navigation system a la GPS to guide rockets and what not, with the Ukraine war it’s become painfully obvious that every military needs a satellite communications system a la Starlink. China and India are inevitably going to launch their own systems soon. Russia too, if it has any money left after this war. That’s how you have to think of this system.
So, you see, these projects are primarily for warfare. Civilian applications are often permitted but that’s not the point of those projects.
You can get uranium from many sources, and it’s really cheap. Actually, the low price is the reason why we produce as much nuclear waste as we do, as there’s little incentive to use all the energy in the uranium. That said, the amount of waste produced is very low compated to any other category of waste. It’s very overblown.
Nuclear is insanely expensive, but what’s the alternative backups for renewables? Coal, that’s what. Gas is too expensive without Russian supply. Battery storage on a scale of more than 5 minutes is an unsolved problem. To bring the irony full circle coal plants are actually very radioactive.
The issue is that uranium is so cheap nobody wants to use non-virgin fuel. You could recycle the uranium, or use breeder reactors, but both of those have political issues. The current usage of uranium is extremely wasteful and produces lots of unnecessary waste, but I’m not totally convinced that this will change anytime soon.
Do you read benchmarks before writing this kind of comment?
Depends on the distro. Otherwise you’ll have to install the nvidia drivers yourself, and if memory serves it’s not as smooth of a process as on Windows. If you use Pop OS you should be golden, as that Linux distro does all the work for you.
You’d need to have different files for different subsets, then, and use some sort of cloud storage for sync
For speakers and headphones you can measure frequency response. But this is less fun than having a person listen and describe the sound with weird adjectives.
For sure. But forbidding cars doesn’t make sense until you have several millions of people in a single city.
Check if it’s autism.
