Her career was ruined after that, but she notably faced no legal consequences. Contrast that with the CCP, which doesn’t even allow you to mock the head of state.
Not allowing working class people to openly decry the government is oppression. But I’m sure you can find several headlines about how much working class people support the CCP, as if that isn’t evidence toward the fact that they’re not allowed to criticize it.
